A group of seven users of the Brain injury Association of Lugo (ADAC), accompanied by staff and volunteers of the Society protective of animals and plants of Lugo, moved to the premises of HVU-RC to start activities contained within the collaboration agreement signed between ADAC Lugo, the Asociación Canina Esmorga, the Protective company of animals of Lugo and this University Veterinary Hospital.
These activities began with a talk on «Canine behavior and communication«, given by the physician of the Hospital veterinarian University Rof Codina, Ángela González, specialist in animal behaviour, who explained attendees various gestures and postures that Canids issue in daily communication with human beings that surround them and other animals.
They begin activities that carry out a group of ADAC Lugo partners with the Society protective dogs, once a week within the premises of the Veterinary Hospital, under the supervision of responsible for the Protective society, with the support of professionals at this Hospital and the Asociación Canina Esmorga.
The relationship between users and animals aims at motivating occupation, responsibility, or socialization with animals of the members of the group.
